Out of Mind

I had pictures of Conor on my dorm room walls.

I Must Have Done Something Right

The distinguished J4CK 0F H34RT5 contemplates how

much will be left in his savings account after this week's new music.

Music for this week has officially made my socks fall off. Not only do we have THREE versions of the Led Zeppelin remasters, AND American Analog Set's "Know By Heart" on vinyl for the first time (One of my favorite albums!), AND re-pressings of the soundtracks from "ParaNorman", "Ghostbusters", and "Coraline", we've got new music from: Sage Francis, Fu Manchu, Soundgarden's "Superunknown" re-issue, Centro-Matic, Birdy, the Orwells, Peter Murphy of Bauhaus, Hamilton Leithauser's solo debut, Echo & the Bunnymen, Parquet Courts' ridiculously awesome third album, Die Antwoord, Diarrhea Planet, the Morrissey "Vauxhall & I" reissue, Dave Alvin's tribute to Big Bill Broonzy, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Gold-Bears' second album (worship the fuzzy reverb pop), Bob Mould, Randy Travis's Christian album, and Tigers Jaw's debut (give it a listen; it's surprisingly great), as well as so much more. This week is huge!

New Music!

New music for today--it's a big week!

We have new releases from the Black Keys, Chromeo, the Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Swans, John Mayall, Me First & the Gimme Gimmes, Young Widows, Kishi Bashi, and Michael Jackson (I have no idea what is going on in the album art, by the way.)

                                                                               *****

In case you missed it, we have Neil Young's "A Letter Home" back in stock

on vinyl, and a limited edition 7" single if you purchase tune-yards' album from last week.

*****

I should be putting more half-off vinyl into the clearance bin this week!

Are You Lonely Too?

I keep coming back to Burn Your Fire for No Witness.

MZ threw it at me awhile ago and wanted to know what I thought.

(I refused to give it back, if that tells you anything.)

It's gauzy and haunted and lush and dark and gorgeous, and I can't get enough of her.
